Shleppers Announces Continued Revenue Growth In 2009

Leading New York Mover Announces Over 10% Growth Rate For Company In 2009 — Even In A Tough Economy And Industrywide Economic Downturn — And Announces Further Expansions Still To Come.

Leading New York mover Shleppers Moving & Storage (http://shleppersnyc.wpengine.com) announces a number of milestones and successes for 2009, including a 10% growth rate in spite of today’s tough economy and an economic downturn in the moving industry overall.

Shleppers has accomplished over 5,000 jobs in 2009 thus far, with overall revenues up 10 percent in 2009 as well, despite the fact that the moving industry as a whole is suffering its worst sales in 30 years.

“We’re very proud to announce Shleppers’ continued revenue growth, as well as our increased customer satisfaction numbers,” comments Shleppers President Jason Friedland. “Our customer referral and repeat rate is currently up to 60%-70%, and our latest customer satisfaction rates are over 95%. Our growth is directly due to the loyalty of our customers, and that’s something Shleppers will never take for granted.”

To continue its current growth trend, Shleppers also announces several expansions still to come in 2009. On top of its brand-new fleet of trucks, the company will also be growing its Long Distance division, adding trucks and tractor trailers to its fleet of vehicles in the Fall of 2009. The company is also continuing its commitment to the green moving initiative it launched in 2008, with the use of 100% recycled paper products, a box re-use and recycling program, and the use of industrial-strength rubber bands to secure items instead of tape. The company also recently implemented a regenerative fuel process on all Shleppers trucks to conserve fuel and minimize emissions.

Even before its fourth quarter begins, 2009 was truly a year of milestones for Shleppers. In June 2009, The Business Council of Westchester honored Shleppers President Jason Friedland with a 2009 “Rising Stars – Top 40 under 40” award. 2009 also marked Shleppers’ largest community outreach and involvement to date, with the company’s sponsorships and donations including major support for such charities and causes as Memorial Sloan-Kettering, The March of Dimes March for Babies, the American Diabetes Association, the JCC Maccabi Games, The Central Park Conservancy, The Bottomless Closet, Catholic Charities, The Community Mayors Foundation, The Foodbank of New York, and many more.
