Moving into Midtown?

“Midtown” portrays the central lengthwise area of Manhattan. It’s the leading central business district on the planet and falls among the list of the costliest and most powerfully used real estate areas in the world. Midtown is USA’s largest entertainment, commercial and media hub. The area is also a booming financial center, ranked only below Lower Manhattan’s Financial District.

NYC’s tallest apartment towers and hotels are located within Midtown.

Other than the central business district, Midtown Manhattan also plays host to the NYC neighborhoods of Chelsea, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, Turtle Bay, Gramercy Park and Hell’s Kitchen- just to name a few.

From an Afterthought to a Powerhouse

According to entrepreneur.com, Midtown was transformed into “an epicenter of American capitalism” in the 1920s, when Grand Central Station was rebuilt, sparking a capitalist revolution in Midtown. The neighborhood went from a commercial afterthought to a business district of such power that Wall Street was its only contender. You can learn all about Midtown and its history throughout the 1900s here.
