When it comes to packing for your first move, there are a few things that you need to know…
Overshoot on Boxes: Don’t hesitate to order too many boxes. The more moving boxes, the better. Trust us, there is nothing worse than wrapping up the packing process than to discover that closet you forgot to empty, with no additional moving boxes in sight.
Label EVERYTHING: Be sure to label the contents for each and every box you pack. This ensures a much quicker moving process for all parties involved. Furthermore, it makes unpacking way more convenient!
Separate Fragile Items: Pull out all fragile/valuable belongings and prepare to pack those separately from the rest of your items. You’ll want to be sure you have plenty of bubble wrap to protect your fragile belongings. Additionally, be sure to write down the value of any breakable items for your records.
Consider Moving Insurance: Although Shleppers Moving & Storage does its best to handle your items with the utmost caution and care, this is an error-prone world, and accidents happen! It’s wise to purchase moving insurance to cover any major items that will be transported during your move.
