Shleppers Supports 2010 FAAN Walk Events

Top New York moving company Shleppers Moving & Storage is proud to announce its recent donation of time, trucks and support to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) Walk for Food Allergy on October 3rd. The event was held by FAAN in at the Glenn Island Park in New Rochelle, NY to raise awareness of food allergies and anaphylaxis, as well as the issues surrounding the conditions.

On October 10th, Shleppers will also be donating trucks and manpower for the Long Island walk for the second year in a row.

The walks are meant to raise awareness and support for combating food allergies. About 12 million people, or 4 percent of the U.S. population, suffer from food allergies. Severe reactions from food allergies result in 50,000 to 125,000 trips to emergency rooms in the United States each year, and the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) works to increase awareness of food allergy dangers to save lives.

"The Shleppers team was outstanding and helped make this event possible," comments Stephanie Hirschberg, the Walk Event Chair for Westchester. "In addition to the donation of transport they provided, the highly professional Shleppers team also offered any help we needed for moving or transporting anything as we prepared for the event, and their beautiful trucks added prestige to our event. For the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) Walk for Food Allergy of Westchester, Shleppers picked up various goods needed for the walk including all of the tables and chairs and then set up everything for the walk.
