Shleppers in the Community

Giving back to the community is one of the key elements of the Shleppers mission statement.

For Shleppers, business has never been just about making money. In 2001 Shleppers rose to meet the challenge of the tragic disaster on September 11. The company's support at Chelsea Piers during the rescue efforts, consisting of manpower, trucks and storage space during the initial months following the crisis demonstrated the true partnership of Shleppers and the City of New York.

As a company, we leverage our infrastructure and core strengths for the benefit of many charitable organizations:

Bottomless Closet

Bottomless Closet provides professional clothing, job readiness, and post-employment training and coaching services to women on assistance and working-poor women.

Foodbank of New York

Food Bank For New York City is the City's major hunger-relief organization. Working to end hunger and increase access to affordable, nutritious food for low-income New Yorkers throughout the five boroughs.

Community Mayors Foundation

Community Mayors, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501-C-3 organization that has been providing recreational therapy for children with special needs from the New York metro area for more than fifty years.

Central Park Conservancy

Shleppers has a major interest in protecting our environment. As a result, Shleppers has teamed up with the Central Park Conservancy so that Shleppers will donate money to the Conservancy each time a customer submits a feedback letter on-line or by mail.
